Judith Hansen

Judith Kay Hansen, was born on July 17, 1944 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born to Paul and Viola (Gittins) Brown. She was a lifelong member of Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut, Iowa. She attended Thomas Jefferson Schools and graduated from high school in 1961. She was united to Charles “Gene” Hansen on August 24, 1961, and shortly after started a family.
Judy's pride and joy was her family, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her love for family was evident with the abundance of family photos throughout her home. Over the years, she enjoyed driving to Omaha where Gene and her would spend many nights dancing to country music. The dancing never stopped as they grew older, just a little slower pace and in their living room. Judy loved her Coca Cola collection and was always excited to show it to anyone that visited.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her daughter Robin Henningsen; sisters, Delores Henry, Beverly Caruso, Donna Halda, Phyllis Havekost, Gloria Heistand; brothers, Merle Brown and Denny Brown.
Judy is survived by her husband Gene Hansen; sons, Jeff Hansen of Walnut, Cory (Kristie) Hansen of Stuart; daughter, Tami Edge of Humboldt; son-in-law Breck Henningsen of Walnut, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
