Kathleen Wageman
March 19, 1943 — December 5, 2009
Kathleen Josephine Wageman, daughter of Veryl Knox and Katherine Wageman, was born on March 19, 1943, in Omaha, Nebraska. Her mother died during child birth and Kathleen was raised by her grandmother, Barbara. Katherine graduated from St. Boniface Catholic Schools with the class of 1962.
After high school, Kathleen began working at Little Flower Haven in Earling, Iowa, as a nurses aide. She later moved to the Page County Home where she lived for several years before becoming a resident at the Clarinda Mental Hospital.
Kathleen enjoyed spending time talking and drinking iced tea with her friends and was always busy going somewhere or doing something. She never sat in one place for very long. She also went to sleep every night with her rosary in her hand.
Kathleen died on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Terrace View in Clarinda, Iowa, having attained the age of sixty-six years, eight months, and sixteen days. She is preceded in death by her mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her aunts and uncles; cousins; other family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia, Iowa, with Rev. John Dorton officiating the 1:00 PM service. Inurnment was held at St. Boniface Cemetery in Westphalia.
