Keith "Louie" Kimmen
September 29, 1959 — April 19, 2021
Keith Thomas Kimmen was born to Kenny and Darlene (Sorenson) Kimmen on September 29, 1959 in Harlan, Iowa. He graduated from Harlan High School in 1978. He was married to Denise Nelson on December 4, 1982. To this uniion two children were born: Kayle and Dylan Kimmen. In 2004, Keith was united into marriage to Paula Myers.
Keith had many skills under his belt. Keith started working for his Dad at The Phillips 66 Station in Avoca. Some of his other jobs included Oakland Foods, Firestone Tire, Western Engineering, Lozier Corp, and Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits.
Most friends would describe Keith as a man with a big heart who would lend a helping hand whenever he could. He had an infectious and giving personality. He was able to become a donor after his passing.
Keith has many hobbies and interests which included watching NASCAR and working on cars and motors. He also loved spending time on his Harleys and watching the Green Bay Packers. Keith enjoyed his pet cat Ding Dong.
Keith passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 having reached the age of sixty-one years, 6 months, and 21 days. He was preceded in death by his mother Darlene and father Kenny.
He is survived by his children Kayle Kimmen of Harlan, IA; Dylan (Lynn) Kimmen of Harlan, IA; sister Cindy (Curt) Scheffler of Harlan, IA; grandchildren: Kamden Kimmen, Kobe Kimmen, Avery Kimmen, Hayden Kimmen all of Harlan, IA; nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
