Keith Edwin Mortensen “Butch” was born on February 3, 1944 to Andrew and Gladys (McCloskey) Mortensen in Mankato, Minnesota, and was baptized at the Congregational Church in Pemberton, Minnesota. He attended Pemberton Public School and graduated with the Class of 1962 from Waldorf High School.
In November of that year, he was united in marriage to Nancy Schull. They had two daughters: Robin and Patty. Keith worked with his dad in the plumbing and propane business while living in Minnesota, worked in a plumbing supply warehouse, and was an independent trucker for several years. He was a member of both the Audubon and Atlantic Saddle Clubs.
Butch was married to Ruth Ann Soll on February 14, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and welcomed Ronald, Steven, JoAnn, and Troy into his family.
