Kristy Lou was born on May 6, 1969 to Clarence “Punk” and Diane (Boege) Pope in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was baptized and confirmed at the United Church of Avoca in Avoca, Iowa. She attended Avo-Ha High School in Avoca, Iowa.
She married Allen Barr on December 31, 1997 in Minot, North Dakota.
Kristy attended Headquarters Academy in Minot, North Dakota where she received her degree as a Cosmetologist and later became owner/operator of her own Hair Salon, The Place for Hair and Nails.
She enjoyed cooking and practical jokes.
Kristy died at her home in Minot, North Dakota on Sunday June 28, 2015 having attained the age of forty six years, one month and twenty two days. She was preceded in death by her father Clarence and father-in-law Bill Barr.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Allen Barr of Minot, North Dakota, Mother Diane Pope of Avoca, Iowa; sisters: Patricia Pope of Avoca, Iowa and Nicole and her husband Keith Assmann of Colorado Springs, Colorado and brother Neil Pope and his wife Patricia of Shelby, Iowa; mother-in-law Isabele Barr of Fargo, ND; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
