Larry Bob Krohn
May 30, 1936 — March 3, 2018
Larry Bob Krohn, son of Clarence and Marcida (Razee) Krohn, was born May 30, 1936 in Minden, Iowa. He was baptized at the Methodist Church in Persia, Iowa. He attended grade school in Persia, high school in Shelby, Iowa, and received his GED in Persia.
As he grew up, Larry worked for local farmers, and later worked for Paxton Galliger in Omaha, Nebraska in coffee production. He worked there for forty-two years, many of those as supervisor of the Green Coffee department.
On March 30, 1956, Larry was united in marriage to Coralyss Hunt at the Methodist Church in Persia. They had 2 children: Calvin and Valori. Larry loved hunting, fishing, blue skies and sunny days. He enjoyed gardening at his home in Persia, studying nature and waiting for his springtime visits from various birds, including many martins. He loved to talk about everything under the sun with loved ones. He never passed up an opportunity to provide food to those in need. Larry had a special bond with his dogs, especially Prince. In his youth, Larry attended the Lutheran Church in Shelby.
Larry passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 3, 2018, attaining the age of eighty-one years, nine months and three days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Calvin Krohn, Razee Grandparents, Stepmother Goldie Krohn, siblings Duane Krohn, Jane Greene, and Lindy Krohn.
He has left to cherish his memory, his wife of sixty-one years, Coralyss Krohn of Persia, Iowa; daughter Valori and her husband Bryan Cadwell of Oxford, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings Sally Casey, Gary Giese, and Carol Giese, special friend and caregiver, Mike Taylor, nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
