LaVerne Dale Will, son of Emil and Bernyce (Constable) Will was born on November 16, 1943. LaVerne attended school in Irwin.
After high school LaVerne enlisted into the US Army. He entered the service on December 16, 1962 and served until December 6, 1965 when he got an honorable discharge for early release as an overseas return. After his discharge, he moved to Harlan where he worked for Petcshe Plumbing & Heating for a few years.
LaVerne married Karin Jorgensen on October 28, 1967 at the Harlan Methodist Church. After LaVerne and Karin were married they moved to Council Bluffs while he attended trade school for electrical and refrigeration. Once he received his certification, they moved back to Harlan where he worked for Madsen Surge in Kimballton, then De Laval in Atlantic before going to work with Brown Electric also in Atlantic, where he worked until his retirement in 2016. While working with De Laval he worked in Alaska constructing milking parlors.
LaVerne was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Bernyce Will, and sister Peggy Kuehl.
He is survived by his wife Karin Will of Harlan, IA; children Christopher Will (Brooke Scheffler) of Harlan, IA; Heather (Jesse) Rose of Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren Kiersten & Brayden Rose of Council Bluffs, IA; mother-in-law Judy Paulsen of Harlan; in-laws Laurie (Larry) Tatum of Blair, NE; Melissa (Chris) Gross of Earling, IA; Ty (Angela) Paulsen of Tipp City, OH; Tabatha Foster of Omaha, NE.
