Linda S. Crawford
August 3, 1947 — February 22, 2012
Linda Sue Crawford was born on August 3, 1947 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Carl Swaney and Alberta (Cash) Arden. She graduated from Terra Haute high school and attended Indiana State where she received her associates degree in business.
Linda met Danny Crawford at social events while working at the Women’s Auxillary in Texas. The two were married on August 3, 1990.
Linda worked as a bookkeeper and was very organized. She loved to do embroidery and Danny made several Western pieces of art; this allowed them to share the same passion for crafts and craft shows.
Linda was a lifelong member of the AMVETS Ladies Auxillary 10 in Mesquite, Texas. She loved any and all animals. She took care of everybody and was very religious in her heart.
Linda joined the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center in Atlantic, Iowa in January of 2012 and this is where she died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 having attained the age of sixty-four years, six months and nineteen days. She was preceded in death by her father Carl Swaney and husband Danny Crawford.
She is survived by her daughter Margaret Kelley Kopel of Dallas, Texas; her mother Alberta Arden of Atlantic, Iowa; her sister Robin and her husband Lamar Rowe of Avoca, Iowa; nieces Samantha Bruck and Georgia Rowe and nephew Patrick Rowe; other relatives and many friends.
A committal service was held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2:30 p.m.
