Linda Ann Schiltz
November 24, 1950 — April 15, 2007
Linda Ann Schiltz, daughter of Sylvin and Elvira (Finken) Miller, was born on November 24, 1950, near Earling, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in Earling and attended grade school at St. Joseph�s Catholic School. She later attended and graduated from high school in Harlan. After graduation, Linda attended nurses training and worked for a short time as a nurse.
On August 8, 1970, Linda was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Schiltz at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in Earling. Five boys were born to this union: Scott, Steve, Danny, David and Brad. Her boys were her life and her full time job so she quit her nursing profession to concentrate on their lives. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother who enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family and friends. After her children were older, Linda began working part-time secretarial jobs with CDS, Myrtue Memorial Hospital and Agriwellness all in Harlan.
Linda died at home outside of Earling surrounded by those she loved most on April 15, 2007, having attained the age of fifty-six years, four months and twenty-two days. She was proceeded in death by her father, Sylvin.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Schiltz of Earling, her sons: Scott Schiltz and his wife Jill of Earling, Iowa; Steve Schiltz and his wife Dawn; Danny Schiltz and his wife Dana; David Schiltz and his wife Shannon and Brad Schiltz all of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandsons; seven step-grandchildren; her mother, Elvira Miller of Earling; her sisters: Joanne Grady of Earling; Karen and her husband Ron Hutchison of Littleton, Colorado; Connie and her husband Don Reischl of Gretna, Nebraska; Charlotte and her husband Ron Willenborg of Manning, Iowa; Mary and her husband Bob Bissen of Earling and Julie and her husband Pat Rogers of Omaha, Nebraska; nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, with Rev. Tom Coenen serving as celebrant and Rev. Michael Berner serving as concelebrant in St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in Earling, Iowa. Casket bearers were Jim Schiltz, Gene Schiltz, Pat Rogers, Don Reischl, Delmer Powell, Bob Bissen, Tony Schiltz, Ron Willenborg, Ron Hutchison, and Tony Allegretti. Interment was held at St. Joseph�s Cemetery in Earling, Iowa.
