Lisa Ann Miller was born on September 27, 1960, to Donald and Phyllis "Tiny" (Rossean) Jensen in Harlan, Iowa. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan, Iowa and attended Harlan Community Schools, graduating with the Class of 1979.
Lisa Ann was united in marriage to David J. Miller on February 26, 1983 in Portsmouth. Three children were born to this union: Tyler, Kayla, and Brandon.
She spent thirteen years as an employee at Communication Data Services in Harlan and in 2005, became a phlebotomist at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.
Lisa was a loving mother and was devoted to her family. She not only enjoyed her children, but her nieces and nephews as well. She was delighted with her granddaughter, Trinity, and thoroughly loved spending time with all of her family.
She loved gardening and spent hours tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed bowling and crocheting. Lisa was fun loving and was always able to make people smile.
Lisa died on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, in Harlan, having attained the age of forty-seven years, eight months, and twenty-eight days. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother Brian.
Lisa is survived by her husband David J. Miller of Panama, Iowa; her children: Tyler Miller and his wife Jamie of Panama, Kayla Miller and her friend Josh Weihs of Walnut, Iowa, and Brandon Miller and his friend Lizzy Prue of Panama; her granddaughter Trinity Miller; her mother and step-father Tiny and Marlin Smith of Panama; her sister Diane and her husband Dave Jacobsen of Harlan, her step-brother Jay Smith and his wife Bobbi of New Virginia, Iowa, her step-sisters Lori and her husband Brent Hugen of Albia, Iowa and Sue and her husband Scott Duhacek of Neola, Iowa; nieces and nephews; other family members; and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, June 27, 2008, with Rev. John Dorton celebrating the 10:30 AM service at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth, Iowa. Honorary casket bearers were Jason Crees, Kyle Miller, and Jeff Husmann. Serving as casket bearers were Donnie Jacobsen, Darrin Jacobsen, Cory Miller, Shawn Miller, Adam Schwery, and Jay Smith. Interment was held at St. Mary�s Cemetery in Portsmouth.
