Lois Jane Hester

Lois Jane (Plain) Hester was born on January 20, 1942, to
Levi Plain and Lucille (Ang) Plain in Rockwell City, Iowa.
Lois attended country school through the 5th grade,
attended Kiron School through 6th and 7th, and then
Odebolt-Arthur 8th- 12th.
Lois worked at Cronk’s Café washing dishes in Denison,
Iowa. Then worked in Idaho at the Bird’s Eye plant
processing vegetables. After returning to Iowa, she worked
at Eventide in the laundry department for several years.
Lois enjoyed many things. She enjoyed gardening, board
games, and working outside in the yard.
Lois passed away the morning of July 3, 2022, at the
Crawford County Memorial Hospital attaining the age of 80
years, 5 months, and 13 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents Levi and
Lucille Plain, and her siblings Joyce Kuhen, Elmer, Harry,
and Laramie Plain.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings Beatrice
Sparks of St. Pauls, North Carolina; Leaworth (Laura) Plain
of Salt Lake City, Utah; Emily Winsor of Pocatello, Idaho;
Dennis Plain of Auburn, Iowa; Genevieve (Rick) Carlyle of
Auburn, Iowa; Gwen Lingle of Denison, Iowa; Isabella
Blalock of Denison, Iowa; Luther (Jane) Plain of Lohrville,
Iowa; Frank (Georgia Ann) of Woodbine, Iowa and many
other family and friends.
