Lynn Arthur Baughman
March 9, 1960 — June 23, 2020
Lynn Arthur Baughman, son of William Clarence and Loretta Eudene (Rasmussen) Baughman, was born March 9, 1960 in Harlan, Iowa. He was baptized at the Kirkman Methodist Church. Growing up Lynn was always available to help his parents on their farm, he was a member of 4H. He attended Irwin Kirkman High School, graduating with the class of 1978. He then attended Iowa Western Community College until 1981.
On December 4, 1982, Lynn was united in marriage to Karen Olson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan. Two children were born to this union: Jennifer and Scott. Lynn worked many years in the warehouse at Variety Distributors in Harlan.
Lynn enjoyed going to tractor pulls, watching Iowa Hawkeye Football and NASCAR, his favorite driver being Rusty Wallace. His favorite pass time was tinkering around on his vehicles. Most of all he loved being a grandpa.
Lynn died at his home in Kirkman, Iowa on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, attaining the age of sixty years, three months, and fourteen days. He was preceded in death by his father William Baughman.
He is survived by his daughter Jenni Baughman of Winterset, Iowa; son Scott (Sara) Baughman of Swannanoa, North Carolina; grandchildren Jayden and Tanner Baughman of Winterset, Iowa; mother Loretta Baughman of Harlan; brother Gale (Judy) Baughman of Omaha, Nebraska; sister Faye (Richard) Williams of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.
