Lynn Harold Jacobsen

Lynn Harold Jacobsen, son of Harold and Orpha (Kay) Jacobsen Sick, was born on September 19, 1948 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was baptized at Hancock Methodist Church. He attended grade school at Hancock and Avoca before moving to California from 1962 to 1966. This is where he graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in San Diego, California. He married Brenda Ferry in June of 1972, but the two later divorced.

Lynn was quite a character and a little on the tight side. You could find him cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chicago Cubs and watching college sports. He had various jobs during his life and enjoyed cooking and fishing with his friends. After he retired he continued to live in his house in Oakland, and spending time on a boat at the lake with his close friends.

Lynn was greeted into Heaven on Thursday, October 29, 2020 by his parents and sister-in-law, Jane Jacobsen. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Larry Jacobsen of Hancock, Iowa; Kay Prine of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Cheroylene (Jay) Holder of Spring Valley, California; Lon (Diane) Jacobsen of Avoca, Iowa; nieces and nephews; special friend Timi Weisbeck and many, many friends.
