Marcella "Sally" Ann Schwery was born on January 3, 1943 to Rita Dresen on January 3, 1943 in Dunlap, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in Earling, Iowa, and graduated from St. Joseph�s Catholic School with the Class of 1961.
On October 17, 1961, Sally was united in marriage with Robert "Bob" Schwery at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church. Four boys were born to this union: Douglas, Randy, Dale, and Bradley. The family lived on a farm five miles west of Panama where Bob began his farming career. He worked at the pork plant in Harlan as well as drove trucks for Clark Ready Mix, Panama Transfer, and Joe Bock Trucking.
Sally was a homemaker, raising the children and helping Bob around the farm when she could. She worked as a nurses aide and a Home Health aide for a short time before owning and operating the Highway Caf� in Earling during the early 80's. She also worked at The Evergreen Inn in Harlan and as a cook at Nub�s Pub in Panama and the Westphalia Club House.
Once Sally retired, she enjoyed quilting and spoiling her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and husband. The couple spent their winters in Texas but were always ready to come home to their family.
Bob and Sally died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident south of Harlan, Iowa.
