Mardelle Kay Griffin, daughter of Ed and Audrey (Baier) Jorgensen was born May 7, 1940 in Cass County, Iowa. She attended grade school in Adair County and many years later received her teaching degree in Cosmetology from Capitol School of Hair in Omaha, Nebraska.
She was married to Charles Chadwick and from this union five children were born; Linda, Kevin, Curt, Teresa, and Brenda. She later was married to Duane Harris and together they had one son; Craig. Years later, Mardelle moved to Theodosia, Missouri where she met and married Randy Griffin.
During her life she worked at Medicine Wagon and Farners. She also was able to teach at the Capitol School of Hair in Omaha, Nebraska.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, and riding with Randy on his Harley. Mardelle also had a very special place in her heart for her dogs.
She died at her home on September 23, 2016 at the age of seventy six years, four months and sixteen days. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Kenneth Jorgensen, and her daughter Teresa Stinn.
She is survived by Randy Griffin of Harlan, Iowa; her children Linda and her husband Jack Scheffler of Harlan; Kevin Chadwick and his wife Carol of Harlan; Curt Chadwick of Harlan; Brenda and Brad Wright of Harlan; Craig Harris and his friend Laura Traufler of Harlan; stepsons and stepdaughters; grandchildren; great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; brother Don Jorgensen and his wife Jo of Anita, Iowa; sister Norma Heckman of Cottage Grove, Oregon; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
