Marie F. Graeve

Marie Frances Graeve was born September 22, 1922 to Ludvina (Kohles) and William Langenfeld at Earling, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling and attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School graduating with the class of 1941.
On April 13, 1944, Marie was united in marriage to Francis Graeve at St. Joseph’s Church in Earling. Ten children were born to this union.
Following their wedding, Francis and Marie made their home in Earling. She was a housewife and mother while her children were young and later in life she worked at Little Flower Haven in Earling for a number of years. She was well known for selling Home Interiors & Gifts and as a dog breeder of Pomeranians at Graeve Kennels for many years. She moved to Harlan, Iowa in 2002 after her husband passed away.
She died on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling, Iowa at the age of ninety-five years, eight months and three days. In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was proceeded in death by an infant son Joseph and daughter Janice; brothers Mello and Joe Langenfeld and sisters June Assmann; Gladys Dolan and Rita Schechinger
She is survived by her children Donald Graeve and his wife Lorraine of Earling, Iowa; Judy and her husband Gail Klein of Omaha, Nebraska; Jane and her husband Chuck Skoumal of Omaha; Allan Graeve and his special friend Kathy of Omaha; Randy Graeve of Denison, Iowa; Glen Graeve of Harlan, Iowa; Donna and her husband Dale Erlbacher of Springfield, Missouri; Marvin Graeve and his wife Diane of Denison; 21 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; sister Delores Jacoby of Waterloo, Iowa; brother Bob Langenfeld of Red Oak, Iowa; nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
