Marietta "Etta" Molony

Marietta “Etta” Lodell Molony, daughter of Edwin Bosecker and Vanieta (Bosecker) Bosecker was born April 28, 1924 in Browns, Illinois.
Marietta attended the Denison school in Denison, Iowa where she graduated with the class of 1942.
On November 10, 1943, Marietta was united in marriage to Joe Molony, to this union was born one daughter, Joette.
Marietta was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for many years.
In the 1970's Marietta coached the Denison swim team and sponsored girls softball as owner of Play More.
She managed a hotel and bar until retiring in 1982. She enjoyed playing cards, loved bingo, dog and horse races.
Marietta passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll, Iowa, attaining the age of 99 years and 11 days.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe and parents, Edwin and Vanieta Bosecker.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Joette (Dave) Peters of Carroll, Iowa; grandchildren Jill (Nick) Palmer of Carroll, Iowa; Nicole Peters of Pocahontas, Iowa; Joe (Megan) Peters of Waukee, Iowa; great grandchildren Kailey (Tyler) Bruns of Pocahontas, Iowa; Sadie Groszkrueger of Villisca, Iowa; Sloane Peters of Waukee, Iowa; Jett Peters of Waukee, Iowa; great-great grandchildren Aubrie and Chloe Bruns both of Pocahontas, Iowa.
