Martin Osbahr, son of Merel and Trinidad Torres Osbahr, was born on July 14, 1957 in Harlan, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Avoca and graduated from Avoca High School in 1976. Following graduation he enrolled in truck driving school. He was united in marriage to Kendal Simonsen on July 14, 1984 in Walnut, Iowa. To this union they had one daughter, Chelsea.
Martin spent most of his working career being a truck driver for Double S Trucking. He retired due to complications of MS in 2008. He loved his vehicles; especially his Pontiac Fiero, his pickup, and his Cutless, and was one to never stop being on the go. He was a fix it all, a neat freak, loved having things in order, visiting friends at The Exchange, watching football, going to races with Chelsea to watch Billy and had a connection with his nieces and nephews.
Martin passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 18, 2024, at his home, having attained the age of 67 years, 3 months and 5 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale and sister Mary Kay; sister-in-law Loraine; brothers-in-law Donald and Butch.
Left to cherish his memory are his Chelsea Osbahr of Omaha, Nebraska; siblings Rodney Osbahr; Lila Schneider; Melody Cordes; LeRoy (Peggy) Osbahr; Merlin (Jackie) Osbahr; Gloria (Todd) Larsen; sister-in-law Joan Osbahr; other family and many, many friends.
