After graduating from college, Patti began working with the National Park Service for four years and also worked at the Corps of Engineering for an additional four years. Patti also took additional class at the University of Nebraska at Omaha to obtain her teaching license. After earning her license, Patti began working with special education students and also worked as a substitute teacher for the Council Bluffs area schools.
When Patti wasn�t busy in the classroom, she enjoyed spending time playing pool and won several awards playing in area tournaments. She also loved to ride her horse and continued to do so even after her accident. Patti was also an avid University of Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Patti was a member of St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in Earling, Iowa until she moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where she attended St. Patrick�s Catholic Church.
Patti died on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, having attained the age of forty-five years, three months, and eighteen days.
She is survived by her parents Leo and Rosemary Hahn; her brother Mike Hahn; and her nephews Joe and Jim Hahn all of Earling, Iowa; other family members and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in Earling, Iowa. Rev. Tom Coenen celebrated the 10:30 AM service with interment at St. Joseph�s Cemetery in Earling. Serving as casket bearers were: Joe Hahn, Andrew Hahn, Jim Hahn, Leo Green, Tom Green, and Alex Hahn.
