Milton Wayne Boll was born on September 27, 1950 in Walnut, Iowa to Melvin and Edna (Kiesel) Boll. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut, Iowa. He graduated from Walnut High School in 1968.
On February 21, 1970 he was united into marriage to Dianne Redinbaugh in Persia, Iowa. To this union two children were born: Tim and Brenda.
Milton started farming and eventually had a 2,500 head farrow to finish hog operation. Market challenges and a mystery swine disease caused a switch to grain and cattle farming. Milton spent the last 51+ years working and improving the farm he and Dianne called home. He loved watching his kids at the county fairs and showing their 4-H animals. He was a farmer all his life. He milked cows for his dad growing up and helped other farmers prior to farming on his own. Milton was always good at and proud of his work. He was the guy you wanted running a loader tractor or backing a wagon into a machine shed amongst many other things. Milton enjoyed helping others and has lots of neighbors he calls friends.
Milton was most likely found driving around in his John Deere Gator, at Dave’s country repair for a soda break, or pulling trees with his skid loader. He liked Henry Lever action Guns and John Deere toy tractors. Milton was passionate about John Deere equipment, Ford Trucks and Firestone tires. Milton loved being on the farm with all of the animals. He was most passionate about his Charolais Cows and white German Shepherd Dogs. Even when his health declined he never stopped farming.
On Monday, July 19, 2021, Milton passed away at Myrtue Medical Center having attained the age of seventy years, nine months and twenty-two days. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Edna; and siblings Richard and Donna.
He is survived by his wife Dianne Boll of Walnut, Iowa; son Tim (Stacey) Boll of Clive, Iowa; daughter Brenda Shannon of Des Moines, Iowa; sister Janice (Gene) Wilwerding of Harlan, Iowa; other family and friends.
