Nancy Ann Blum

Nancy Ann (Schirm) Blum was born on January 6, 1960 in Atlantic, Iowa to Albert and Dixie (Kjeldgaard) Schirm. She was baptized and confirmed at the Walnut Presbyterian Church and graduated from Walnut High School in 1978. After graduation she went to beauty school in Council Bluffs.
On September 28, 1980, Nancy was united into marriage to Jeff Blum at the Presbyterian Church in Walnut. To this union one daughter was born: Alison.
After Nancy and Jeff were married they lived in Walnut where she worked for the Colonial Inn Motel and Villager Restaurant in Walnut that her parents owned. In 1984, they moved to Omaha where she worked as a telemarketer and then became the bookkeeper for Jeff’s construction company.
On Sunday, June 27, 2021, Nancy passed away at home in Bennington, Nebraska having attained the age of sixty-one years, five months and twenty-one days. She was preceded in death by both her parents.
Left to cherish her earth side are her loving husband of forty years Jeff Blum of Bennington, Nebraska; daughter Alison Blum of Bennington, Nebraska; siblings Cindy Young of Mission Viejo, California; Neal (Pam) Schirm of Walnut, Iowa; foreign exchange sister Conchi Madsen of Cincinnati, Ohio; other family and many, many friends
