Nancy June Laver

Nancy June Laver, daughter of Ralph and Vera (Cutler) Laver was born October 26, 1948 in Harlan, Iowa. She was raised in Irwin, Iowa, where she graduated from high school.
Nancy was a jack of many trades, throughout her lifetime she was a model and truck drive r to name a few theings. After raising her family, she went back to school at Kirkwood to complete her education in nursing, she earned her RN at the age of 60.
On September 2, 1988, she was united in marriage to Tim Grimsley at Assembly of God in Harlan. Nancy loved spending time with her family and making sure they were well fed. She was an excellent cook and baker, which was passed down through many generations. She also loved spending time outdoors, bird watching, bbqing, and being at the lake. She was passionate about her relationship with the Lord and she grew even closer with Him over the last year.
Nancy died on Monday, August 23, 2021 at her home in Burleson, Texas, attaining the age of seventy-two years, nine months and twenty-eight days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Margaret Plumb, Caroline Laver, and Lynn Laver.
She is survived by her husband Tim Grimsley of Avoca, Iowa; children Julie Mikels of Burleson, Texas; Richard Armell of Davenport, Iowa; Mark (Lisa) Carlson of Griswold, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings Leslie Laver of Aurora, Oregon; Jim (Eva) Laver of Harlan, Iowa; Randy (Mary) Laver of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Gene (Shauna) Laver of Harlan, Iowa; nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.
