Nancy J. Wiley

Nancy J. Wiley, daughter of Virgil and Bernadine (Pedersen) Wiley was born on July 1, 1950 in Harlan, Iowa. She grew up with her four siblings in Irwin, Iowa where she attended grade school. She graduated from Irwin-Kirkman High School with the class of 1968.
After high school Nancy got married and had her son Richard Lee, Jr. She started working at Avoca Implement as a bookkeeper then went to work for Buman Farms near Tennant, Iowa. She made her home in the Harlan/Portsmouth area before moving to Denison and spending a few years in Ida Grove, Iowa. She worked in local pharmacies before having to retire to Eventide Senior Living in 2015. Her sister, Diana joined her at Eventide and later the two moved into Gracewell together.
Nancy was always known for being quiet. She loved riding her bike, watching movies and cooking.
Nancy died on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Gracewell in Denison, Iowa, attaining the age of seventy-three years, one month, and six days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Richard Lee, Jr., siblings Deb Gross and Steve Wiley.
She is survived by her sister Diana Weber of Denison, Iowa; Gary (Mayme) Wiley of Omaha, Nebraska; brother-in-law Marvin Gross of Earling, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
