Neil Fredrick Williams

Neil Fredrick Williams was born to Ray and Dorothy (Leinen) Williams on September 11, 1941 in Portsmouth, Iowa. Neil passed away peacefully at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the age of 82.
Neil was the seventh child out of eleven. He received his education at Dow City Community School. He proudly served in the United States Army from February 3, 1964 to February 2, 1970 as an E3. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #2 in Council Bluffs, Iowa for many years. He lived in Council Bluffs for over 30 years before moving to Denison, Iowa to be closer to family. After moving to Denison he joined the American Legion Post 8.
Neil worked at Tip Top Products in Omaha, the largest manufacturer of hair products as a Products Supervisor. Then he worked for Wilkinson Manufacturing Company in Fort Calhoun as a Supervisor. Neil loved his family and friends and his quarter horse, Star.
Neil was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Dorothy Williams, brother Kenny Williams and wife Kay, Ramon Williams and Donald Williams, sister-in-law Mary Williams, brother-in-law’s, Ernie Schnack, Ward Sebern, Larry Nicholas, Franklin Rasmussen, and Jerry Hansen.
He is survived by sisters Rose Ann Schnack of Harlan, IA; Betty Sebern of Denison, IA; Colleen Nicholas of San Jacinto, CA; Donna Rasmussen of Harlan, IA; Janet Hansen of Denison, IA; brothers Phil Williams of Independence, MO and Dally Williams of Denison, IA; sisters-in-law, Myra Williams of Denison, IA and Coleen Schrum of Denison, IA; He was loved by 25 nieces and nephews, His special friend Connie Robey of Council Bluffs, IA
