Norma Jean Oldehoff was born on February 22, 1929 to Adolph William and Esther Isabelle (Fish) Kay in Walnut, Iowa. She graduated from the Walnut High School. Norma then attended a cosmetology school and later became a licensed beautician.
On June 5, 1948, Norma was united in marriage to Alfred Henry Oldehoff in Atlantic, Iowa. One son was born to this union: Alan Oldehoff.
For nineteen years, Alfred and Norma lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where they first managed the Suburban Motel and then the Cherry Tree Apartments. Alan and Norma then moved to Walnut, Iowa to retire.
Norma passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at her home in Walnut, Iowa, having attained the age of eighty-four years, six months, and nineteen days. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Oldehoff; her son, Alan Oldehoff; her daughter-in-law, Linda Oldehoff; and her parents, Adolph and Esther.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jason Oldehoff of Springfield, South Dakota and Tammy Burchell of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her seven great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ashlyn, Jared, Brandon, Michael, Victoria, and Logan.
Pastor Steve Lewis officiated the 11:30 A.M. Graveside Service at Layton Township Cemetery in Walnut, Iowa on Friday, September 13, 2013.
