Norman James Holcombe passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Clearview Nursing Home in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. Norman was born March 14, 1926, to Donald and Mildred (Dickenson) Holcombe, in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Virginia Ashley on October 20, 1947. To this union six children were born: Dennis, Kathleen, Richard, Connie, Nikki and David.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edward and Richard Holcombe, sister Ethel (Teve) Murray and a great grandson.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years Virginia (Ashley) Holcombe of Salem Lutheran in Elk Horn, IA; children Dennis Holcombe; Kathleen (Kenneth) Thompson; Richard (Cindy) Holcombe; Connie Holcombe; Nikki (Dick) Myers; David Holcombe; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
