Norman W. Trede

Norman William Trede was born on December 5, 1927 to Arnold and Josephine (Ratcliff) Trede in Carson, Iowa.
After his schooling, he started his farming career on a farm south of Avoca, Iowa, and continued farming for nearly thirty years.
When Norman got out of the farming industry, he took a job at the Avoca golf course. He spent hundreds of hours mowing the course, waving at the golfers, and making new friends.
Norman died at his home on Thursday, May 8, 2014, having attained the age of eighty-six years, five months, and three days. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by family members, his special friend Florence, and many patrons of the golf course who will miss his smile and waves.
Pastor Eric Meissner officiated the 7:00 pm Memorial Service on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca, Iowa. Inurnment will be held at Graceland Cemetery at a later date.
