Orville Keith Denton

Orville Keith Denton, son of Chester and Agnes (Sharp) Denton, was born on September 26, 1930 in Denton, Kansas. Keith graduated from Lenox High School in 1949. In 1952, he was drafted into the United States Army. While in the Army he attended Military Engineering School in Belvior, Virginia, and graduated in 1954.
On September 1, 1956, Keith was united in marriage to the love of his life, JoAnn Buchanan. They welcomed two sons: Steve and Scott. They lived in Kansas City, MO while Keith attended diesel mechanic school. After completing school, they moved back to the family farm near Lenox, Iowa, where he farmed with his father for many years. Following his farming career he did crop insurance adjusting until he retired.
On Friday, February 23, 2024, Orville Keith Denton passed away at Avoca Specialty Care Center having attained the age of 93 years, 4 months and 28 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Audrey and Winnifred.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years JoAnn Denton of Avoca, Iowa; sons Steve (Marge) Denton of Avoca, Iowa; Scott (Coronne) Denton of Red Oak, Iowa; 4 grandchildren: Ryan, Todd, Sarah and Jason; 9 great-grandchildren; brother Bryon (Carolyn) Denton of Orland, California; other family, nieces and nephews and many friends.
