Patricia Ann "Patti" Miller
September 27, 1944 — May 25, 2023
Patricia Ann Miller, daughter of Bill and Beaulh (Hupp) Willison was born on September 27, 1944 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Scranton, Iowa. Patti attended grade school in Churdan, Iowa and high school in Scranton, Iowa. She received her cosmetology license at College Stewart School of Hairstyling in Sioux City, Iowa.
On June 12, 1965 Patti was united in marriage to Larry Allen Miller at the Scranton Methodist Church. To this union two children were born: Kim and Todd. She owned Patti’s Beauty Shop and helped Larry with his store Harlan Clothing.
Patti loved tending to her flowers, she was especially fond of red geraniums. She enjoyed reading, going for walks, cooking and baking. She loved spending time at their condo in Okoboji, that they owned for 20 years.
Patti passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, attaining the age of seventy-eight years, seven months, and twenty-eight days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Miller, son Todd Miller, siblings Dennis Willison and Sandra Morehead.
She is survived by her daughter Kim (Ron) Grote of Washington, Iowa; grandchildren: Megan Grote Roth (Lenny), Matthew Grote (MacKinzie), Haley Miller, and Austin Miller; great grandchildren: Cash Grote, Charlee Grote, Frankie Miller, Charlie Miller, Fox Miller, and Kingston Miller; brothers Roger Willison, Stanley Willison, and Jeffery Willison; sisters Linda Smith, Karen Van Horn, and Sharon Steigerwalt; nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.
