Patrick "Pat" Michael Heese, son of Le Roy and Jeannie (Blum) Heese, was born on November 6, 1968 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, lowa. Le Roy and Jeannie brought Pat home to the family farm east of Irwin where he would eventually be joined by 5 younger siblings (Tim, Jackie, Tom, Crystal, and Sam). Pat was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Defiance, lowa. He attended Irwin-Kirkman Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1988 from the Irwin-Kirkman-Manilla High School. After graduation Pat attended Western lowa Tech Community College in Ida Grove, IA were he received a certificate in their carpentry and construction program.
Pat eventually settled in Harlan and spent most of his career working at Concerned, Inc. He took great pride in his work. He not only succeeded personally but also took pride in training others to do their jobs to the best of their ability as well.
Pat was an avid collector of toy tractors. He enjoyed numerous outings with his family to attend toy shows and fairs to add to his collection. He loved action movies and westerns, enjoyed playing games and drawing, was a cat-lover, and was also known to play the occasional joke or prank on his friends.
On Sunday, June 16th, 2024, Pat passed away peacefully at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, lowa, having attained the age of 55 years, 7 months, and 10 days. Pat's mother Jeannie Heese preceded him in death. Those surviving Pat are his father Le Roy Heese of Defiance, IA; siblings, Timothy Heese of Shenandoah, IA, Jacqueline (Todd) Alberti of Harlan, IA, Thomas (Sheila) Heese of Hudson, IA, Crystal (Rick) Widemon of Quitman, TX and Samuel (Megan) Heese of Exira, IA; nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
