Peggy Hansen

Peggy Lea (Piittmann) Hansen was born on November 16, 1949 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Melvin and Virginia (Frahm) Piittmann. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca. She went to grade school in Hancock and graduated from AvoHa High School with the class of 1968. After graduation she enrolled in the Jenny Edmundson School of Nursing.
On June 28, 1969, she was united into marriage to LeRoy Hansen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca. To this union two sons were born: Richard and Robert.
Peggy taught Sunday School for many years and was a nurse in several local nursing homes. Her greatest pleasure was attending her grandkids activities.
Peggy passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at her home in Minden, having attained the age of seventy-one years, six months and sixteen days. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Virginia; infant brother Keith Piittmann; and brother-in-law Paul Jensen.
She is survived by her husband LeRoy Hansen of Minden, Iowa; sons Richard (Lori) Hansen of Minden, Iowa; Robert (Amy) Hansen of Minden, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; sister Becky Jensen of Underwood, Minnesota; other family and friends.
