Randall Cary Booth, son of Robert and Mary Lou (Harrison) Booth, was born on January 5, 1957, in Harlan, Iowa. He developed many lifelong friendships with other children growing up at the intersection of Tenth and Victoria in Harlan, who enjoyed his entrepreneurial spirit including a carnival he set up in the basement of his family's home with his best friend Tim at the age of six. At a young age, he enjoyed riding his go cart and a motorcycle before his feet could even touch the ground. He attended school at Harlan and was a member of the graduating class of 1975. He was also a very talented as a musician and played guitar in numerous bands.
Randall was united in marriage to Mary Lea Schwarte on September 4, 1982. He followed in his father's footsteps working in the field of cartography at RC Booth, Enterprises. Like his father and mother, he enjoyed boating and spending time at Lake Okoboji with family and friends, especially sailboating, and was always happy to provide the sweet corn and man the grill.
Randall Cary died on November 4, 2014 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa, having attained the age of fifty-seven years, nine months, and thirty days.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Mary Lea Booth of Westphalia, Iowa; his three daughters: Wendy Miles of Denver, Colorado, Allison and her husband Gary Aikman of Omaha, Nebraska, and Stephanie Booth and her friend Tom O'Brien, Council Bluffs, Iowa; three grandchildren: Alexavier Miles of Denver, Colorado, Lily Aikman of Tea, South Dakota, and James O'Brien of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his sister Linda and her husband Gailyn Larsen of York, Pennsylvania; his brothers Nate Booth and his friend Linda Miller, Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert Booth and his wife Connie of Boone, Iowa; along with other relatives and many friends including Kortnie Bradley and Sierra Bain who he gladly accepted as one of the family.
