Rhonda Ohl, daughter of Darrell E. and Virgine Mary (Bandow) Ohl, was born May 17, 1956 at Crawford County Memorial Hospital of Denison, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. She attended Denison Community High School, where she graduated with the class of 1974.
After high school, Rhonda worked at Eventide Lutheran Home, it was at that time she decided to become a nurse. She earned her LPN from Western Iowa Tech and her RN from DMACC. She was a long time nurse at Manilla Manor in Manilla and also worked at WESCO for some time.
Rhonda had many loves in her life, she loved to embroider, read books, writing letters and poetry. She was also an animal lover, especially her dogs. She loved watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Nebraska Cornhuskers. The most near and dear to her heart were her nieces and nephews, most times she was known as “Mida” or “French Nerd” to them. They had a secret language called jibberish that they would communicate to each other in that only they could understand.
Rhonda died at her home in Denison on Monday, December 4, 2017, attaining the age of sixty-one years, six months and seventeen days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Virgine Ohl.
She has left to cherish her memory, her sisters Denise TenEyck of Omaha, Nebraska; Pam and her husband Doug Soseman of Denison, Iowa; Shelley and her husband Bob Starman of Denison, Iowa; nieces and nephews Chris Soseman of Denison; Taylor Starman of Des Moines, Iowa; Madison Starman of Des Moines; Joey Dyer of Omaha, Nebraska; and great-nephew Emerson Dyer of Omaha; other family members and many friends.

Memorials are requested to the Denison Dog Park and Zion Lutheran Church.
