Richard Leonard Luth, born on September 5, 1978, in Denison, Iowa, grew into a man known not only for his hardworking nature but also for his ability to make a good joke out of almost anything. After all, what’s life without a little laughter?

Richard worked for Farmland, living up to his reputation as the "jack of all trades." No problem was too complex, no gadget too broken, and if you ever needed something fixed, Richard was your go-to guy. His clever and crafty nature was matched only by his relentless stubbornness. Despite this stubborn streak, he was often the big kid in the room – the fun uncle, truly embodying the essence of what it meant to be a "goofball" when necessary.

He attended Denison Community High School, Richard embraced life with enthusiasm. His hobbies were numerous: woodworking, mowing, and fishing became his personal passion of tranquility, while spending time with his kids truly brought him the most joy in life. Whether it was crafting a birdhouse or daring the fish to jump on his hook, every moment was a chance for adventure—or at the very least, a potential tale for future generations.

Richard made a name for himself as an avid B-S'er; there was no subject he couldn't spin into a tale worthy of the best listener’s ear. His passion for mischief—or was it just a great sense of humor? — followed him everywhere, especially during family gatherings where he could BS his loved ones with his escapades or discussions.

Sadly, Richard passed away on January 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy texted in laughter and a hallmark of DIY projects. He is survived by his brother, Randy Luth of Denison; his children, Kambree (José) Rodriguez of Sioux City, Rylee Luth of Woodbine, and Rozia Luth of Woodbine; his grandchild, Bellamy Rodriguez; as well as several adoring nieces and nephews: Ryder Luth, Sophia Luth, Todd Meehan, and Shelby Meehan.

He joins his beloved parents, Ronald and Rosie (Coe) Luth, along with his grandparents, Mabel and William Luth, and his uncle, Clyde Terlisner, where we imagine they are all having a good laugh, possibly over a meatloaf sandwich.

Richard would like us to celebrate him with joy, just as he filled our lives with giggles and grins. Visitation will be held at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Denison on March 7, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life on March 8, 2025, starting at 3 PM.

Richard Leonard Luth leaves behind a glorious sprinkle of warmth and wit that his family and friends will cherish forever. Cheers to you, Richard! Rest assured; we'll keep the stories rolling in your honor.
