Rochelle Renee Gottsch was born at Dunlap, Iowa, December 15, 1941, the daughter of Ralph and Georgia Stilson Koski. She was raised on the farm at Dunlap and graduated from the Dunlap High School with the class of 1959. Following high school she attended cosmetology school in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1965, Rochelle was united in marriage with Donald Gottsch at the United Methodist Church in Dunlap. Their union was blessed with six children, Derwin, Denise, Darrin, Devin, Darlo and Dawn. They made their home at Dunlap for three years before moving to their present farm home at Westside where she had since resided. Rochelle enjoyed her life as a homemaker, mother and farmwife, working side by side with her family on the farm and was active in 4-H when the children were members. Rochelle died Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Manning, Iowa, at the home of her daughter and husband, Dawn and Jason Hoffman. At the time of her death she had been blessed with 68 years, 6 months and 25 days. Rochelle was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Koski and one son, Darrin Jay Gottsch. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband: Donald Gottsch of Westside, Iowa; her mother: Georgia Koski of Dunlap, Iowa; five children: Derwin Gottsch and wife, Sharon of Carroll, Iowa; Denise and husband, Paul Schultz of Baltimore Maryland; Devin Gottsch and wife, Diane of Carroll, Iowa; Darlo Gottsch of Westside, Iowa; and Dawn and husband, Jason Hoffman of Manning, Iowa; eight grandchildren; one great grandson; two brothers: Rolly Koski and wife Kay of Kentucky; and Raymond Koski and wife Jan of Dunlap, other relatives and friends. Private family graveside services were held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, with Paul Schultz officiating. Those serving as pallbearers included, Brady, Dale, Darlo, Derwin, and Devin Gottsch and Jason Hoffman. The Pfannebecker Funeral Home, www.pfannebecker.com in Denison was in charge of arrangements.
