Roger Allen Coenen

Roger Allen Coenen was born on March 15, 1957 to Norm and Dee Coenen of Dunlap, Iowa. He graduated from Urbandale High School in 1975 and began working at Patterson Dental Company in Des Moines. Starting as a service technician, he worked his way up to Regional Manager for the State of Iowa.
Roger has four children Zach, Sam, Greta and Quin, who he loved with all his heart and cherished his time spent with them. Roger was so proud of each of their accomplishments and loved attending their events. More recently, they all shared their love for Max, the family dog as he became part of their family.
Roger also loved spending his leisure time on his motorcycle doing Harley runs with his cousins and friends, including several cross country trips. He also loved bonfires with family and friends, gardening and his annual trips to California.
Roger was a genuine soul who had a unique talent for making those around him feel loved and special. He will be missed by many.
Roger died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa attaining the age of fifty nine years, three months and twenty four days. He was preceded in death by his father, Norm Coenen.
Roger is survived by his children Zachary, Samuel, Greta and Quinlyn Coenen all of Ankeny, Iowa; mother Dee Coenen of Woodward, Iowa; brothers Ed Coenen and his wife Marianne of Panama, Iowa; Russ Coenen of Woodward, Iowa; sisters Trudi Hartman of Pomona, California; Nancy and her husband David Chapline of Odgen, Iowa; nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.
