Ronald Scott Elmore, the son of Marline (Rightmire) Wade and Ronald Elmore was born on April 13, 1951, in Los Angeles, California.
Scott was employed at Double S Trucking for 29 years, in Avoca, Iowa, as a truck driver; in his words, his job was “like playing a video game”. He loved to travel and visit his family all over the United States. He also enjoyed site seeing and taking pictures while touring the country. Scott took joy in classic car shows; muscle cars, such as, Corvettes and Camaros were his favorite. He was the glue that kept the family together and had a BIG HEART. Scott left a legacy full of extreme and unconditional love for all who knew him.
Scott was a very loving and generous person who always put the needs of other before his own. He was absolutely devoted to his family and friends. He was his daughter, Nikki’s, hero and the rock of his family.
Scott died on Monday, September 18, 2017 in Meade, Kansas, attaining the age of sixty-six years, five months, and five days. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vikki Phillips; and his parents.
He has left to cherish his memory, his children, Nikki Valera and her significant other Harold Ramirez of Miramar, Florida; Michael Thomas of Avoca, Iowa; Brian and his wife Jessica Brase of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania; siblings, David Craycraft and his significant other Jackie Chism of Avoca, Iowa; Linda and her husband Ronald Allington of Fairbanks, Alaska; Holly Alfasser of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
