Rosalie Irene Sorensen, daughter of Floyd and Ilene Maxine (Schrader) DeHart was born on August 28, 1944, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She attended Tri-Center High School, graduating with the class of 1962.
After high school, Rosalie was united in marriage to Galen Sorensen. She spent many years working as the housekeeper at the Hotel in Harlan while raising her children.
Rosalie had a heart of gold for all people and animals. She especially loved taking care of her horses and horseback riding. She was also very spiritual which led to her to collecting of Angels. She was a big fan of the Twilight movies and always Team Edward. She loved treating herself with a Coke and some chocolates. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with children and grandchildren.
She passed away on July 5, 2024, at Atlantic Specialty Care in Atlantic, Iowa, attaining the age of seventy-nine years, ten months, and seven days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Galen, children Bill DeHart and Carroll DeHart.
She is survived by her children Gayle Herman, Robert (Donna) Sorensen, Gary DeHart, Jeff DeHart; sister, Marian Stone; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; other family members and friends.
