Roxanne Marie Martin

Roxanne Marie Martin, daughter of Donald Andersen and Lorraine Gundy was born on July 26, 1956 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca. Roxanne received her high school diploma in Harlan with the class of 1975.
After graduation, she was united in marriage to Rick Martin on October 25, 1975 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan. From this union, they raised 3 children: Bobbie Jo, Brian and Becky. Roxanne worked for Variety Distributors until her retirement in 2012.
Roxanne was a social butterfly who nourished many around her with love, faith and humor. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren bowl, word searches, baking, making homemade candy suckers, eating chocolate malts and watching the races. She was known to be an animal whisper who had a strong bond with animals, especially dogs.
Roxanne died surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa attaining the age of sixty-two years, three months and two days. She is preceded in death by her father Donald Andersen and brother Kevin Gundy.
Left to cherish her memory, her husband Rick Martin of Harlan, Iowa; children Bobbie Jo and her husband Vince Cruise of Harlan, Iowa; Brian Martin and his wife Danielle of Ankeny, Iowa; Becky and her husband Justin Wyatt of Avoca, Iowa; grandchildren Masen Shults, Karter Shults, Lane Wyatt, Hollis Wyatt and 1 boy on the way; parents Larry and Lorraine Gundy of Stewartsville, Missouri; siblings David “Butch” Andersen and his wife Cheryl of Harlan, Iowa; Lori and her husband Dan Gandara of Utah; Patti Zimmerman of Atlantic, Iowa; Wanda and her husband Rick Cashatt of Stewartsville, Missouri; fur baby Molly the Bulldog; fur grandbaby Doug the Pug; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
