Sandra Lee Randall, daughter of Murray and Gertrude (Brammann) Randall, was born on April 4, 1936, in Avoca, Iowa. She attended school in Avoca and graduated from Avoca High School in 1954. She was a longtime member of the United Church of Avoca.
Sandra spent most of her days helping people at the Avoca Courthouse. She was a Clerk of Court for Pottawattamie County in Avoca and Council Bluffs. Sandra was a Lions Member since 1989. She was able to complete and organize a variety of projects for the community including purchasing eye enucleation kit for Knutson Funeral Home, purchase uniforms for little league teams, held a dance benefit for the Avoca Museum, sponsor hearing and eye test for those who couldn't afford them, helped establish the "Quest Program" for the local school to teach family values, community living and self-esteem. These were a few of the projects they completed during her tenure at the Lions Club. She was an active member of the Rainbow Girls group at the United Church of Avoca. When she wasn't busy working around the community she would enjoy time at home relaxing, reading, working on word jumbles, word search puzzles, and listening to music.
On Sunday, December 17, 2023, Sandra was called home to be with the Lord while resting peacefully at Heritage House in Atlantic, Iowa, having attained the age of 87 years, 8 months and 13 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Howard, Robert, Thelma, Raymond, and Beverly. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other family, and many friends.
