Sharlisa "Lisa" Renee Robinson

Sharlisa “Lisa” Renee Robinson was born on July 29, 1966 to Norman Sr. and Elizabeth (Felter) Shaffer in Schenectady, New York. She attended grade school in Upstate New York before her family moved to Irwin, Iowa in 1981. She graduated from Irwin Kirkman High School with the Class of 1984. Lisa attended the Burnell School of Cosmetology after graduation and ran Lisa’s Beauty Salon in Irwin for five years.
On March 7, 1987, Lisa was united in marriage to Lenny Robinson at the Irwin United Methodist Church. They became parents to two boys: Luke and Lane. She loved being a mother and was always helping as a room mother and attending the boys’ activities and chaperoning on class field trips.
Lisa closed her salon to begin working at the family business, Robinson Implement in Irwin. She was a tomboy growing up and her love of the outdoors continued to adulthood. She loved the lake and would spend as much time as possible at their cabin in Lake View with her family and friends. She loved embroidery, baking, and decorating the home she and Lenny remodeled over the years for all the seasons and holidays.
Lisa was admitted to Manning Regional Healthcare Center where she died on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the age of forty-nine years, three months, and one day. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth and her brothers Edward and Tom Rushing.
She is survived by her husband Lenny Robinson of Irwin, Iowa; sons Luke Robinson and Amy Uhlenkamp of Irwin and Lane Robinson and his wife Hannah also of Irwin; father Norman Shaffer, Sr. and his wife Kay of Oakland, Maryland; brothers: J. R. Shaffer and his wife Kathy of Afton, New York and Bob Shaffer and his wife Debbie of Mount Upton, New York; sisters: Shalkye and her husband Larry Clark of Kimballton, Iowa and Shauna and her husband Mark Rapuzzi of Guilford, New York; mother-in-law Linda Robinson of Irwin; brother-in-law Jamie Robinson of Irwin; other family members and many friends.
