Sharon "Shari" Lynn Fleshman

Sharon “Shari” Lynn Fleshman was born to David Shaw and Sharon Shepard on July 18, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Kansas City and attended college at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. While in college, she received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts and her Masters in Health Care Administrations.

Shari found the love of her life when she met James Fleshman. They were united in marriage on September 1993 in Kansas City, Missouri. Together they were blessed to have nine children: Colby, Andy, Michael, Barbie, Devante, Rodney, Travon, Enya, and Sirriniti.

Some of Shari’s favorite hobbies included spending time with family, helping children and people in need, writing, riding on roller coasters and working on puzzle books. She loved pandas. Shari thoroughly enjoyed working in the community as the Assistant Director at Headstart Early Childhood Development. This job gave her the opportunity to follow her passion of helping children on a daily basis.

Shari passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in Omaha, Nebraska on March 4, 2025 attaining the age of 63 years, 7 months, and 14 days. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Shepard and son, Rodney Fleshman.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Fleshman; father, David Shaw; children, Colby Shaw, Andy (Ashley) Lind, Michael Fleshman, Barbie Houke, Devante Fleshman, Travon Fleshman, Enya Fleshman, and Sirriniti Fleshman; two grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
