Steven Michael Buck

Steven Michael Buck, son of Roscoe and Loretta (Fries) Buck, was born June 28, 1953 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended grade school in Tennant and graduated from Shelby Tennant High School with the class of 1973.
On February 24, 1975, Steven was united in marriage to Susan Wendt at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth, Iowa. He became a member of St. Mary’s when they were married.
During Steven’s high school years he worked for Buman Tennant. He then went to work at a beef plant and later to Western Iowa Pork in Harlan until they closed. He worked construction for a short time out of Avoca then went to Farmland in Denison, he worked there several years until having to retire due to a work injury. Steven often helped his brother Jerry on the farm.
Steven died on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, attaining the age of sixty-four years, eleven months, and nineteen days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Susan Buck and granddaughter Abby Buck.
He is survived by his children Chris Buck and his wife Rhonda of Tennant, Iowa; Cory and his wife Amanda of Audubon, Iowa; Jackie and her husband Roger Schumacher of Tennant; Craig Buck of Tennant; 16 grandchildren; siblings Gerald Buck and his wife Kim of Shelby, Iowa; Connie and her husband Tracey McMorran of Bettendorf, Iowa; Dana Buck of Tennant; Gordon Buck of Tennant; nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.
