Theodore Lambert Rietveld

Theodore Lambert Rietveld was born to Henricus “Peter” and Bertha Giltman Rietveld on December 11, 1939 in Nuenen, Netherlands. He was raised with ten siblings and the family moved to the United States when he was a teenager. He graduated high school in Wisconsin in 1958. Upon graduation, Ted was employed as a banker, maintenance man, a business consultant, a baker and a massage therapist.
Ted married Jane Doro and five children were born to this union: Carrie, Chris, Charles, Andy, and Matt. Ted enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and raising horses in his spare time.
Ted passed away at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa on January 26, 2017, having attained the age of seventy-seven years, one month, and fifteen days. In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his seven brothers and one sister.
Those to cherish his memory are his five children, Carrie and her husband Rollyn Lee of Amery, Wisconsin; Chris Rietveld and his wife Joanne of Northfield, Minnesota; Charles Rietveld and his wife Kori of Mellen, Wisconsin; Andy Rietveld and his wife Tricia of Harlan, Iowa; Matt Rietveld and his wife Tammy of Piedmont, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; brothers Tony Rietveld and his wife Donna of Stephens Point, Wisconsin; Jerry Rietveld and his wife Margie of Neenah, Wisconsin; and John Rietveld of Combined Locks, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
