Todd A. Miller
March 15, 1971 — April 8, 2010
Todd Allen Miller, son of Larry and Patricia (Willison) Miller, was born on March 15, 1971, in Harlan, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at the First United Methodist Church in Harlan and graduated from Harlan Community High School with the class of 1990.
After school, Todd began working for JP Electric in Harlan. He later held various sales positions in Branson, Missouri and Portland, Oregon before moving to his current home in Galveston, Texas.
Todd loved to go hunting, fishing camping and trapping. He enjoyed being outdoors and could always find an excuse to remain outside. He also loved dogs, especially his Brittany Spaniel he had growing up.
Todd�s family was very important to him, especially his children who he was very proud of. He treasured his two week vacations every summer in Okoboji where he would spend time fishing and boating with his whole family.
Todd passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at his home in Galveston, Texas, having attained the age of thirty-nine years and twenty-four days. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leo and Margaret Miller; his maternal grandparents, William and Beaulah Willison; his aunt Sandra Moorehead and his uncle Dennis Willison.
He is survived by his daughter, Haley Miller, of Huxley, Iowa; his son, Austin Miller, of Lenox, Iowa; his parents, Larry and Patti Miller of Harlan, Iowa; his sister Kim and her husband Ron Grote; his niece Megan Grote and his nephew Matthew Grote all of Washington, Iowa; his aunts and uncles: Mary and her husband Charles Johnson; Charles Miller and his wife Martha; Dennis Moorehead; Linda and her husband Harry Smith; Sharon and her husband Dennis Steigerwalt; Barb Willison; Jeffrey Willison and his wife Diane; Roger Willison and his wife Theresa; Stanley Willison and his wife Kathy; and Karen Van Horn; many cousins; and many friends.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, April 15, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Harlan, Iowa, with Rev. Dr. David G. Swinton officiating the 10:30 AM service. Interment was held at the Harlan Cemetery with Rusty and Lois Wirth, Pete and Lile Petersen, Keith and Bonnie Fiscus, Vernice Vrtiska, and Dolly Burgin acting as honorary casket bearers. Serving as casket bearers were: Ron Grote, Matthew Grote, Byron Christensen, Dale Gross, Keith Burchett, Orlin "Buck" Pauley, John Leuschen, and Troy Smith.
