Virginia Clara Holcombe passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Salem Lutheran Homes in Elk Horn, IA. Virginia was born on Oct. 25, 1927, to Kenneth and Gladys (Long) Ashley, in Omaha, NE. She was united in marriage to Norman Holcombe on Oct. 20, 1947. To this union six children were born.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Norman Holcombe, her sister Barbara Ring and a great grandson. Those left to cherish her memory include her son Dennis Holcombe of Whittmann, AZ; daughter Kathleen (Kenneth) Thompson of Crescent, IA; son Richard (Cindy) Holcombe of Cottonwood, AZ; daughter Connie Holcombe of Asheville, NC; daughter Nikki (Dick) Myers of Avoca, IA; son David Holcombe of Avoca, IA. 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister Sally (Norm) Adams of Surprise, AZ; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
