Wayne Allen Brockhoff
Wayne Allen Brockhoff was born on May 27, 1959 to Robert and Luise (Gier) Brockhoff at Bitburg Air Force Base, Bitburg, Germany. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairview, Kansas. Wayne attended elementary school through his junior year in high school in Sabetha, Kansas. He attended Tri-Center his senior year and graduated with the class of 1977.
Wayne married Laurie Myers and they had two boys Jared and Shane. They later divorced.
Wayne worked in the construction industry for most of his career. He was known as a jack of all trades with a strong attention to detail.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, cooking, camping, country music and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a fan of the Kansas State Wildcats, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.
Wayne passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Avoca Specialty Care in Avoca, Iowa. He had attained the age of fifty six years, ten months and twenty seven days.
Left to cherish Wayne’s memory are his sons: Jared Brockhoff and his wife Cassie of Shelby, Iowa and their two children Payton and Tristan; Shane Brockhoff and his wife Lacey of Walnut, Iowa; and their three children: Emery, Sage and Jade; his parents: Robert and Luise (Gier) Brockhoff of Minden, Iowa; His brothers: Robert Brockhoff and his wife Naomi of Minden, Iowa; Art Brockhoff and his wife Kris of Minden, Iowa and Virgil Brockhoff and his wife Kim of Seargent Bluff, Iowa; nephews, nieces and many friends.
