William “Bill” Richard Bradshaw was born on August 12, 1927 to Arthur and Martha (Hackenholtz) Bradshaw in Omaha, Nebraska. He left high school during his junior year and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in San Diego, California, from November of 1945 to November of 1947 and was honorably discharged.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Radford on March 2, 1956 in Omaha, and had three children: Kim, Julie, and William.
Bill was a sheet metal worker and window glazer and belonged to the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He worked for the Natkin Company and spent time in Greenland. He was a good man with a strong work ethic. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill died at his home on Thursday, January 24, 2013 having attained the age of eighty-five years, five months, and twelve days. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Beverly Harris.
He is survived by his children: Kim Burton of Grants Pass, Oregon, Julie and her husband Mike Torneten of Underwood, Iowa, and William Bradshaw of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other family members and friends.
