Wilma Darlene Eggerss

Wilma Darlene Eggerss was born on April 7, 1949 to Delbert and Mary Louise Eggerss in Avoca, Iowa. She was the oldest of two kids. She graduated from Avoca with the class of 1967.
After graduation, Wilma moved to Harlan and started working at Myrtue Medical Center as a unit secretary for 30 years. After retiring, she remained in Harlan. She enjoyed fishing, long talks, collecting movies and music cassettes as well as porcelain dolls. Wilma enjoyed going out to eat and giving coupons to her family and friends. In 2014, she became a resident of Elm Crest Retirement Community. She was known to family and friends as a kind hearted person who loved country western music.
Wilma passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Elm Crest Retirement Community having attained the age of seventy years, two months and twenty-five days. She is preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Mary; brother Delbert Jr.; uncles Gailand Nielsen, Everette Eggerss, Wilbert Eggerss, Johnny Brown, Joseph “Prince” Simons, Henry Brown and Aaron Nixon; aunts Hattie Brown; Faye Simons.
Those left to cherish her memory are her uncle Rudy Simons and his wife Linda of Spanaway, Washington; aunt Betty Smith and her husband Clarence of Columbus, Georgia; uncle Andrew “Bunky” Simons of Georgia; uncle Bennie Simons of Georgia; nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
