Wilma A. Rapp

Wilma Rapp was born on June 25, 1910, to Andrew and Gertie (Andreson) Jacobsen in Hancock, Iowa. She attended the Hancock Schools and graduated with the Class of 1927.
She was united in marriage on July 28, 1932, to Ronald Rapp in Omaha, Nebraska. They became the parents of one son, Ronnie. After their marriage, they lived in Long Beach, California while Ronald was working for the Navy. In 1945, they returned to Avoca, Iowa, for seven years. Wilma and Ronald owned and operated the Rapp Photo Studio in Avoca.
After moving back to California, Wilma was employed with St. Mary�s Hospital in Long Beach working as an admitting clerk for ten years. She retired from the hospital in 1975 and continued to live on the West Coast after Ronald�s death in October of 2003.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son Ronnie Rapp and his wife Millie of Anaheim, California, nephew Don Langer of Avoca, Iowa, other family members and friends.
Pastor Dennis Reich conducted the 1:00 PM funeral service on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, Iowa. Inurnment was held at Graceland Cemetery in Avoca.
